Indelible ink...

It was said that the main reason the ink was not stained/indelible was because of the silver nitrate content imposed by Director of Health, which must be less than 1% ( safety level for human kidney.)

On colour, words have it that the manufacturer of the ink claimed the food colour could be substituted for the colour of the ink, which can cause cancer…it was also imposed by the DOH.

Can it be that the minister misunderstood the two conditions (silver nitrate & colour) after briefing by the EC?
